Peter Oren Crowell
(1944 - 2009)

It is with sadness that we report the passing of Bro. Peter O. Crowell to the Celestial Lodge above.  Bro. Crowell died unexpectedly on Oct. 4th while vacationing in Nova Scotia.  A memorial prayer and moment of silence were observed in his memory at our November Stated Communication.

A memorial in Brother Crowell’s memory was created at Find A Grave.

LODGE VOICE MAIL

DUES NOTICE

The dues for 2010 are now payable using the enclosed voucher formSubmit your check in the amount of $75.00 and completed form to

King Solomon's Lodge #14
Attn: Secretary Harvey Best
P.O. Box 295
Elkins, NH 03233-0295

As approved at our March 2009 Stated, the Annual Dues are now $75.00.  Please mail them to the Lodge at the address above or pay them directly into the hands of the Secretary.  The increase was deemed necessary as the Lodge had been running a deficit budget for several years, and we are also looking ahead to anticipated maintenance needs of our building.

There are still several Brothers who have not paid their dues for 2009, please make payment of $60 as soon as possible. Contact the Secretary if you are unsure of your dues status.  The Lodge has paid the annual assessment on your behalf to Grand Lodge, so unpaid dues actually cost the Lodge a substantial amount.

R.O.M.E.O.s

The R.O.M.E.O.s (Retired Old Masons Eating Out) meet every Wednesday at 11:30, in the back dining room of MacKenna's Restaurant, New London Shopping Center, New London, for lunch and conversation.  This is an informal group and the ladies -- called "Juliets," of course -- and other friends (including those still gainfully employed) are welcome.  Please consider joining us for lively social contact.  A totally voluntary contribution of $1 for Masonic good works is collected at the meeting.
